Ah the beauty of jQuery and some javascript. Now if only I could get BigPicture working I'll be set. I'll probably never get around to arranging the Recipe blogs lists. Sad. I hoped it could of been useful though, it would take me months to figure out just what region or post they belong. Anyhow..for those of you that are here, sorry, I only see XP fonts. Sad. Century Gothic is a lovely font. Furthermore, try clicking the tag to the left and looking to your right. Its brilliant. Not to mention fast. Sure the template is a little bloated for now. I'm working on it. For those of you that have stayed for longer then 0seconds. Thanks a bunch.

So today I learned to Purl. Pretty tough actually till you get the hang of it. I have a bit of a problem starting off a Purl but, I'm getting the hang of it. I'll be attending the meeting on Wednesday too. Maybe I can learn a few stitches and start to make something unique. This is something that I am appreciating. Its a lot of fun. Till then I'll stick to the cheapo yarns. Though I don't think I do too badly. I don't get frustrated like I thought that I would. Though I don't take the time to try to be a bit more of a perfectionist about it. Crochet. A blanket was what I was after to make. Though, I think I would be happy forever making scarves. Anyhow, learning something new and making some friends. This one project I just need to end because I'm at the end of the yarn. I won't un-knit it. I'll just keep it. Its not as full of holes as you would think. I am happy. Wednesday. A new skein. A new project.

Still a no-reload template.... There! Part of the backgrounds worked out. I need to figure out how I'm going to nudge the upper background ( outer-wrapper) lower. I'm not real hot at CSS. Change the font colors, change the footer backgrounds and implement different backgrounds for the menu and its like a new blog. Whether you like it or not. I'd just like it if someone would just TRY out the template its interesting.

Progress. Some. This was the only picture that wasn't blurry. The only mistake that you can't really see, is that I dropped the end two loops twice but picked em up again. I know only one stitch.

I've been knitting. Well, only a little. I've made some progress. There's a few errors. I dropped a few stitches and sometimes trying to get them back. Some were crossed over. Learning though. Here's a couple pictures. That little twig of yarn that was 2 foot long or so, at the start of the knit, somehow got knitted into the thing. I don't know how I worked it out ... didn't know I was doing it till I was done with a row and that was actually several rows into the project .. Anyhow it seems to be all working out.

Wow!! So many yarn hobby sites. I didn't realize knitting was still so popular. Well, its been years since I tried and I only tried a little ( and it breaks my heart). I honestly wish I had bothered my-little-poor-attitude-self to learn how when I had a really good chance ( that I really should of taken). None the less I hope I've really changed an attitude around. Maybe this will be something that I'll stick too in a more permanent way. I only wish I hadn't waited so long. I did when I was a kid participate in some hobbies like latch hook rugs and some needle point but only to a certain point. I think I still have all the thread still in a bag somewhere from 25+ years ago. Well, I shan't any longer allow things I want to do slide. This at least, I can't go wrong. Maybe make some friends to boot. There is a local yarn shoppe located in Snow Hill, MD, The Fine Needle. I can't think of too many better places then to participate in the hobby then shopping local. I am one of those undecided people. I really can't choose a color. So, I've decide I'll create some sort of concoction of a multitude of variegation in the form of an afghan or blanket. What surprised me is there are some local yarn people. Blue Heron Yarns. I think I'll buy some skeins from them. My colors of choice are in the image below.^[1]

Update: I just got back from the shoppe and bought myself some yarn and square needles. It ain't as easy as I knew it wouldn't be ... Maybe that blanket or afghan I intended on making will have to wait another year. Granted I didn't think I did all that badly. I dropped the loops off a few times and once I get past a row its hard to start a new one but, I'm just a noob. This should be something that I want to stick with. Creative function and creative thinking. Giving me something to concentrate on that is showing me tangible results into someting useful and lasting is certainly worthwhile to an end result in meeting my criteria towards the goals that I've set for myself both in the near and the distant future. This is worthwhile.

A purchase decided?

Since I've decided to have already saved the money to purchase a nice set of cookwares that I might just go ahead and purchase them. I'm undecided in what brand. I can't imagine T-fal being poor in comparison too another stainless steel brand. The idea behind that is an induction cooktop. Fagor makes a great product.

At $199 it isn't inexpensive. Though, the claim to induction is a 50% reduction in energy use. I'm keen on that. Maybe it will inspire me to cook something.

My wish list::

I'd appreciate this. Due to my lack of diligence in getting gardens started and maintained I'll be this summer yet again with out my homegrown veggies. You know, when you think of it, the plant in the image really isn't all that great. Anyhow, if it works, and I don't see why it wouldn't, it would be nice hobby anyhow. Even if it only just does a little. Hopefully with this post I'll at least find a few folks that have bought one and can give some pointers. ^[2]

Been a bit. Been saving a bit too. No traction. Seems like a good choice, though I like the Retrovelo in creme with the Fat Frank tires from Schwalbe. These would go nicely with a set of panniers from Basil also.^[1] This nice bicycle is a Workcycle named "Oma". Though I tend to find having a basket on the rear rack just a bit easier. I suppose I'll have to keep dredging on. Finding ways to cut even more. I'll take a small share loan. The bicycle isn't exactly expensive but, not cheap either. At just under $1600 and a few hundred for shipping its a bit of a haul when it comes to getting money together. Saving appropriately isn't easy. Nickle and diming myself to death could help. I know where I fail and there are better choices and sacrifices but, those are the ones that add up. I do try. I guess I can look forward to this sometime in my near future. Wish I could say nearer future. I suppose I have some fantasy hopes intertwined in here somewhere. Things I imagine me doing around town and places I'll go. Where I live isn't Amsterdam or Copenhagen or even some city around here. There isn't many places to go ( that's really all that worth going too ) and the ones that are worth going too, I don't really care to be on the road later at night or even during the day. Then, its a lifestyle choice. One that I had wanted to make some time ago. I did often ride a bike to where I wanted to go. Though, a car and a few other factors helped diminish this choice. Then, its a lifestyle choice. One that I've now made. I'll stick too it. I've honestly never been happier. Now, to get through and get over the others.

☞ Well, all I know is, that I keep trying, sometimes slipping but, no huge diminution to assets. One of those flavored bottled water things a few times a week since water really has no flavor..However, I should point out that I have managed a few things very well in my goals to be a bit better off. I've stopped ( nearly only a few in the past few months ) drinking sodas, stopped eating sugary junk foods, quit watching television except in the lounge at work ( but only before work ) and have been reading more often. I've slacked off on that a bit. I did, in my a-chapter-at-a-time efforts, tear through a few, in my opinion. Other then that I've been better to myself. Plenty of money set aside already for things that I'd like. I've already set the money money aside for a new pair of specs two years from now. This and Thats. Still, a lot of plans in the works. Nothing financially oriented, simply hobbies and things I've been meaning to do. At least in these cases I'll have something to blog about.

I do enjoy bicycling. I use it to get around and am perfectly happy for it. Nothing to worry with as with cars when they go terribly wrong. Nothing like having one for convenience sake ... I'm happy to be pedaling. This is the bicycle I have my eyes on at the moment. This is my first hurdle. I decided I'd prefer a ladies frame over the men's because of my short stature. Of these types of bikes it seemed to me I'd be more comfortable with this type of frame and it has a lower center of gravity. The bicycle that I ride now, a road frame, works and is perfectly fine, though I am getting older and it is no longer meeting my needs. I am choosing Trek as my brand of choice mostly because the nicer European cycle makers construct them a bit larger then I believe I would be comfortable with. Not to mention they're slightly more expensive. They however, include a few features this bike does not. This comes with more gears then I'd like; internal hubs would be wonderful (the dyno for the light, 3-speed in the rear, and brakes). First, I'd outfit it with a nice Topeak rack and basket. Specifically because their products fit within a slot and clamps onto the front of the rack and holds it in place. No bungies. However, I do have my eyes on a Willow Basket from Hembrow. The seat will go next with a replacement from Brooks England LTD. I'll keep you posted. I just have to bite the bullet and purchase what I want being I've saved the money for it deliberately. That's my second hurdle. It's not expensive at less then $400. I'm not gonna grow and money don't grow on trees. Anyhow, I think with a frame that is built for comfort over speed, and about $1k more bucks in the bank, a safer more pleasureable ride, and a little less back ache in the future. I could be a little like the photos on a favorite blog of mine.

P.S.

Almost forgot ... the tires, I was after the Fat Franks but don't know if the wheel size will work. That's the future ... Schwalbe none the less.

i don't mean to steal similarly from Yoda, but there should be "no HOPE, only do." Hope is too open ended. When its spoken, its leaves open the end result of little effort. If you put forth effort ... then the end result is not only possible but, realized. There, is that old rusty bridge, not too great a span but, used and a little neglected. I cross it every year, too different results. Some things are often the way they are and are that way for all persons; I am not unique. This year I feel it is more possible there can be a definitive difference. I've learned from many errors. I will not hope the drudgery of burdensome things will not weigh me down, nor allow them to do so. Thusly, I'll drop that baggage and put forth effort as I had not in the past and do things in manners proper for success. So, I look forward to a better year. There is no hoping, only doing.

Not just for me but, for all. Most especially for a new family member. Let this be a good start for her.

Great Xmas is finally here!!

Now I can give away all that money I spent. Not as much as some years...or at leat not as many gifts.

No posts in a while. I had no intention of being as lazy as I was. I've just been living and saving my money or trying too. I was revving up to get all the works for my MTB to make it more ride friendly..then it was stolen. As I did say in the last post some time ago...I haven't seen it to reep my revenge. Though, I still have plans on buying a nice Euro-bike. Just need to save a bit more. I think I've pretty much settled on the make and model.

Maybe I'll get some readers for some inspiration. Maybe someone will find this blog useful or interesting if only for the idea and effort. I'd appreciate anyone really.

I feel like a loner around here. With all the bikes at the college I still find few people that actually go out and ride, or maybe I should get out more. Even then, most of the avid cyclist look exactly that, Avid American cyclist with the silly spandex and helmets. In defense: Helmets are always a good idea, though not exactly fashionable. Spandex is worse: I don't own the 'Brand' and I wouldn't be paid to wear the item by and of the brand, nor pay the $X's for them. Anyhow, I've really no one here that I can relate too.

Anyhow, I hope some things can change.

Since some n/wigger stole my last bike..I'm inclined to get a new one. I had hoped someday to get a nice Dutch styled bike being inspired by Copenhagen Cycle Chic but, the cost was somewhat offsetting. Now, it seems, I just as well take the plunge. Its just the decision to make.Here are the choices that I'll chose from.

Finaly figured out as to how wearpalettes gets their color swatches. It is through an Adobe site named Kuler. For anyone composing a website or their blog it is incredibly useful. Though it allows you to chose five colors, small targets can be moved on an image to collect the color with fair accuracy. In working with the program, that is available to you freely, you may make adjustments to your color selections through an interesting management page. It gives you several options in adjusting the color while still giving you the properly named color codes in RGB, Hex, HSV, CMYK, and LAB. In addition there are offering that allow for minute adjustments from a stylized color wheel with target dots for the separate colors and a three tiered slider for adjusting all of the five color swatches. Another set of options are selectables such as analgolous, shades, monochromatic, compound, complimentary and triad, all of which add to the complete functionality of an attractive and user friendly tool for the proper selection of color and the making of fine adjustments to color schemes for proper construction of any webpage or site.

I looked and looked, and scoured the internet and finally found some photos that I had been looking for of the lovely creme colored tires that Schwalbe make. I have plans for them as well when outfitting the bike. This will all take a little time of course but, its a project. Aside for most likely not building my own rim with the previous posts hub's, its still a nice project for me. The way it looks however is that it will probably cost just as much too buy a new bike. The Dutch-styled bikes are somewhat LARGE for my smaller frame, and stand-over height is on the tips of my toes. It is the main reason I've decided to keep and upgrade my Yukon. These photos show a Retrovelo .. in a nice matching creme paint scheme. I hopefully will be getting started on this project soon. Probably taking on a second job if I can just to keep the project rolling..not to mention giving me something to do.

Don't know what I'd do about a new paint job. Maybe just leave it alone since if I'm gonna go all-out on the components I maybe should on the paint job too. I tend to like things simple. A good old fashioned American styled cruiser is great. I had once kept some old Bicycling magazines from the 80's when I had a subscription to tell me how to ride a bike, that I had kept for historical purposes but, mostly to kept because some had nice design and color schemes and one had an article for custom paint. I liked the white one with kisses (as I recall it was for LeMond)...Cannondale had a great looking bike in gloss black with matte gold tones for the namesake with matte gold on the rims and chain links. I doubt I could find interesting additions such as those anymore. Truthfully they don't build em' like they used too....in many more ways then one.

What say we about some beautiful fenders?! It so happened that my mind was blank when the image of a Dutch-type bicycle popped into my head with fenders no less. It was then I realized that I had forgotten something. Fenders!... So, I began a search. Keyword's: wooden fenders, quite simply. The search was easy as I pounced upon the first link that my google found. I was not to be disappointed. Here are some samplings of my gold mine of wood and Marine grade clear gloss spar polyurethane of a find. I'll share my treasure horde with you.

Ah, the mecca eco-vangelist's. I'd trust him for quality solely based on location. Promoting the good they're doing out there.

So, what do you think? Worth a gamble if you can call it that? I don't necessarily condone the killing of trees just for a bicycle fender..especially trees from rainforests..but, he does use as much recycled wood as possible.

maybe I'm jumping a bit ahead of myself when it comes to this post. When it comes to the nifty Euro-casual bikes, they truly enjoy the little extras that make them special. I posted one such little extra-the dynamo light kit-as one that was a needed amenity on my MTB. I'm still stuck with installing the tail lamp, and the light kit doesn't necessarily have to be from Shimano (though there is something aesthetically appealing when it comes to uniformity). But, when it comes to uncomfortable nylon seats, plastic's and icky rubber hand grips that make you sweat there wouldn't be anything better then removing them for something so much better. With that said, after the previous posts implementation of said gear, my next endeavor would be to give me some leather. It would go without saying for those in the know that I must be planning a Brooks saddle sometime in my near future. I've decided upon a decent B67 .

Though, as I read up on the Brooks website, I have only just now noticed the price. I'm certain............
that a saddle of the nature and respect IS worth $116 and a pair of grips IS worth $106 bucks, THEY will be somewhere down the line. Hopefully not too far down the line though. My current saddle isn't a bad one. Nice foam one with neat little pin holes that get all sopped up when it rains. It hasn't been bad....but I've neglected not only the bike and what all it could be but, also myself in my creature comforts.
I think its now time to make some adjustments. These things in my last two postings are my current projects-as thought I have any. So, I just hope those that read up on and follow in spirit and in lifestyle this blog and the other blogs of note can enjoy and share in the happiness in our shared lives.

The Kool Stuff I Want

These are some of the images of the kool stuff I'll be getting for the Bike. This probably the most important part. The internal hub that I've decided upon. Made by Shimano I feel as that I am assured quality and durability. With 8 gears I'll have ample room for ease of cycling with similar gear ratios that will make for a more pleasing ride even under climbing and head-wind conditions. As the Maker has its accompanying accessories and It would be the one that I'll go with. Another idea that I had was retaining the front cranksets in hopes of elaborating upon the richness that internally geared hubs will give to me. I WILL be looking forward to having a lever to push and make my life and my ride a bit easier.

Ahh...the beloved roller brake my fellow at Hank & Me loves so much and touts as a blessed wish. I'll be getting one of these also. Maybe high hopes actually. I don't honestly know if they will even be applicable to the bike. No worries then. I will keep using my thus far reliable cantilever brakes. This device though at this time is still only a wish. Something that will make a whole.

Lets not leave out the needed Dynamo and lighting outfit.

That should round the bike right out on. I'll be complete and as a whole. Fully set for whatever lay ahead whether bankruptcy, smooth sailing or pleasant trails.

After I'm done I'll do some Myth research and find a neat name. One that is befitting of the class and utilitarianism of the bike.

I guess I should do some research before I write..but, how was I to know? Thanks to Clever Cycles for the link.

My nice Yukon. Soon to be made nicer with the addition of some balloon tires from Schwalbe and a nice Shimano Nexus hub. Hopefully it will all start coming together here real soon. I don't know if I'll be able to build the rim myself but, it should be worth a try. I'll probably just go for having it done for me. The cost would probably offset the injury both to myself and my wallet. Anyhow, it will make me happier and I'm sure I'll be happy with the adjustments. I would hope to find some other interested cyclist in my area interested in bike conversions such as mine or the Dutch styled bikes as blogged on by some of my favorite bloggers Alex @ Hank & Me and the Dane-Copenhagen Cycle Chic. Maybe I'll make their lists. Wish me luck in the endeavor.

Internal Hub on my Giant Yukon

I have a plan. My Giant Yukon MTB is in need of an update. Something that I've been looking forward too for sometime now was getting a new bicycle. However, I've decided to forget all that and simply replace some parts. Thats gonna take some work. I don't exactly use my MTB for anything other then getting around and really that is all that it is good for. I've broken the shifter but all else works great. I decided that its really not worth fixing the two shifters and I'd be better off getting an internal hub as a replacement since it will be essentially just as costly and I'll be killing two birds with one stone.

It isn't so much that I wish to go broke or wish not to purchase a newer bicycle, then it is that I care about my current bicycle. The height is fitted to me and in my research, most hybrid bicycles are only a composite of alternative parts that make the bike more unique. It is this that I wish through a selection of my own components in which I'll construct my bicycle, in my own time, in my own way as I see fit.

A new-found-friend over at 2whls3spds says he'll help me out some with a walk -through as best he can and I'll ask for some advice on all of what I'll need along with some advice on what he knows of parts and quality. I was hoping for a Shimano Nexxus 7 speed internal rear hub. It's Shimano so it should be well enough and 7 is plenty of speeds to get up that hill or face a head wind. Thats the main point and really all I need to do. When, it will come to replacing the handle bars sometime later and the seat I'll go with a Brooks saddle to be just like the other bikes. So I'll be looking forward sometime in the near future to being able to post the pictures of my fixer upper.

Getting it Together

Back into biking for the run again. I've been taking rides in the morning around 7 to 8 and it feels good to be doing so. I hope that I can make it a habit. It gives me plenty of time to think. Nothing is bothering me, just relating to certain things in my life. I'm hoping I can evaluate a newer direction. Contemplate aggressions too starting a newer existence either here or elsewhere and just how will I get there. For starters I'll need to save more money. Reconsider getting a new bike since the one I have now works just fine. Starting a different job, one that will eventually pay more and isn't so aggravating. I watched a show on PBS where a guy decided that he would retire at 19. Now, whether or not he had money is sort of irrelevant. What he decided to do in his early 20's was sail. He had a boat he restored and sailed all over the globe. He had met a girl and they sailed together and even had children who all lived on this small boat together. They even lived temporarily in the places they had visited and I assume he took odd jobs and his wife as well and his children all went to those schools whether it was Iceland or where ever. I honestly don't see how he did it. Supplying the needs of a family and a financial well being while still being able to afford a house and land later in life. Living a dream. I doubt I'll ever be able to do that. It was one of mine when I was younger. To be as free as that. Having no stable employment that required you to have a certain education, appearance, or be tied down too most of the year as a slave to hours in the day. To be able to pick up and move about. I had a dream long ago to live on a boat and just move when ever I chose. I never lived it for various reasons. Lacking of knowledge in sailing being the greatest. Learning would of fixed that. So, now I've learned to just LIVE. As best I can anyhow and not worry about consequences so much. The thing I can have is more knowledge, what I can't have is my time back. He had mentioned that. The "what about 'money', a 'house', and your kids aspect and he recalled many older people wishing they had when they were younger do and live similarly as he has done. Doing what he TRULY wanted. Maybe now is my time. I've little holding me back. Little money, no house or land, no kids, a job that in all honesty can lose. Maybe now I can envision me living a life of a dream.

Rack and Basket

Sold someone on my Topeak rack and basket combo today. I was riding back from the store when one of the city workers asked me about them. I was happy to discuss it. He was saying that he has a cruiser type bike and already has a basket on the front and uses his bike for fishing trips. He, like myself and most everyone that gets the Topeak rack is more then impressed with the construction. It is very well made and little chance of messing it up in away aside from abuse or carelessness. The one that I have has the slotted top to hold the basket firmly on without the use of bungies. It is a very convenient and stable platform. Fortunately for me my bike had the bosses or stays that allow me to use the rack for panniers and no seat post attachment. His bicycle though he said does not. I told him that one of the bike shops here does sell the seat post racks and should be able to order the basket for him. Considering the cost for the pair at less then $60 bucks which included shipping its a very fair deal. Those of you that think that might be a little expensive should see the quality of the rack. The basket is light and maybe slightly flimsy but, thats not really a sacrifice and it doesn't bend easily and the weight is still kept down for a more stable ride. I'm not of great use and neither is this blog but, I felt that I made myself useful. Not only have I potentially supported a local bike shop with a sale but, promoted a cycling company and bicycling itself. Thats always a good thing.

Remembering those that had served. I remember my bikes fondly. My Schwinn Scrambler Stingray was my first true love bike. A nice silver and black one that was stolen from me. Where I work, the store was selling similar ones and the design hadn't changed hardly at all. test footnote The only noticeable difference might of been the from suspension forks on at least one of the models. All else was the same from the flat/slick type tire on the rear to the banana seat. Brings a smile to my face even today. I have my first traveling bike still outside in the shed. I didn't take great care of it as I should have and for the most part its falling apart. I know I lost a bolt in my rear caliper once when trying to stop and the tape on the bars is all coming off. I want to restore it to something of its former glory. Its a nice Schwinn LeTour. Lots of miles on that bike for sure. Its been something that I've been meaning to do just haven't gotten the money together. There always seems to be a niche in any plan that I ever make. As you may have read I now have a Giant Yukon. A budget minded bike suiting most anyones needs. I know I no longer see a need to want to go out and buy the most expensive bike out there. I don't see a need for a bike that cost more then 2k. Surely the components often matter and its what you sometimes are paying for but, where I live there is no need for it. Not even a bike with more then 12 gears in the flat terrain, its not like I live in Colorado. Which is where in earlier posts I mention my next bike wouldn't have many gears and an internal hub. It all just seems so much more convenient. I haven't completely boiled down all my options since saving for one is still in the process so there is still plenty of time. More likely I'll seek out a nice used one. Maybe somewhat hard to find since I'd need one that fits my height and leg length. Again the second factor would need a lower bar height and an ability to put my foot or at least my toes on the ground. I intend to use the bike as an errand bike and hoping off the seat at every stop just won't do. Its a careful balancing act for sure.

My Weekend

Great!! This is my weekend!! Lot's to do. I'd like to get back into bicycling a lot more often. I've been waylaid from it for sometime now mostly out of laziness.What I would like to do is get up too the bike shop to see what they have to offer. I'd like to get a newer bike though used definitely isn't out of the question. Actually, I think I'd prefer used over new anyhow. I haven't been to this one I am considering in a few years and was there only once. I remember they had a lot of decent brands one of which was Merckx. That is a decent brand with quality components and a design and look appeal that is greater then its cost by comparison to similar bikes. They had Gary Fisher also though to me that seemed more like just a bike. I could of purchased similar quality in a Fuji at a lower price, which then leads me to say that newer Fuji bikes are much better then in their past but, still are a Fuji at a much higher price. The criteria that I seek now is that: The bike can not be TOO heavy or taller then me being able to put my foot comfortably on the ground, The bike should have stays so that I can conveniently install a rack and safely carry loads, The bike must have or be convertible too internal hub gears and roller brakes, The bike should not be a typical MTB or typical Road styled bike nor a cruiser since they all seem to be well above comfortable stand over height. While all these things and still be reasonably affordable. Which is where used comes in. Electra makes a model called a Townie. Though the bike shop that sells them is about 44 miles away, I don't drive. The bike also doesn't come with the specifications that I would prefer. So it all comes back to my steel framed, recreational Giant Yukon with the damaged gear changers. I've looked and looked and can not find a replacement. The rear cassette is a 7 speed and all that I can find are 8s and 9s. Its not that I was ever disappointed in the bike, it was a great bike. Especially at the price (as I recall it was less then 400). Just now with Giant their prices have skyrocketed. Still, a similar model is about $500 and that isn't bad considering what you can get now, though still on the bottom tier of the components scale. Its all okay though, the one I have is paid for and works just fine in the one gear. It's just finding what I seek, being able to afford it and getting up the gusto to fork out the money. Either way I'll be happy I think. Some things are just not meant to be had at certain times. Maybe this isn't the right time...lets see how things pan out.

Another day, a nice one too. I gave my basket a try in shopping today. I used it instead of the stores hand basket. It became somewhat heavy to use and the wire handle bends. I didn't want to leave it at the door, defeats the purpose somewhat. Ah, and I fixed the problem of it sliding on all the way. You are supposed to give the guard of the rack a 3 degree angle however I more leveled it out and it was satisfactory. Not so bad now. I recommend Topeak products for you bicycle since most of theirs is specifically designed to work interchangeably with each other. The rack itself is designed to hold the bag or basket without the use of straps. Very nice and Very well made.

Anyhow, I transferred some money back into my checking so that I, with my next paycheck can pay on my P2P loan once again. It should be paid off by July. That will be two payments this month. It reduces the interest that I am paying against principle against the remaining debt of the loan. In other words, the more I pay the less interest and the less I'll lose too interest with this next payment. Not only do I gain by reducing interest, I gain again by paying less in interest. Sure hope it helps my score. This is a installment loan and with the new FICO 08, should help my score. ( its convoluted but, its betters you to have different types of loans on your credit report however it doesn't hurt your score NOT too..or something like that )
FICO is just another fuck-over to the US consumer.

Still working on this blog. Getting no attention for obvious reasons. I know nothing of fashion and little really in the world of bicycling. Don't need anyone to tell me how to ride a bike or dress. So, I just compile a list of great Blogs that are decisively unique and well worth the attention they get. I'll just keep doing what I am doing. Maybe eventually I'll come up with something that I can blog about.

Copenhagen Inspired Blog, My Lifestyle ( I hope )

This site was in part inspired by Copenhagen Cycle Chics' blog that I have listed in my "Blog's Explored" section. As a cyclist I am happy to note Her inference that in Denmark 35% of the people utilize bicycles as transportation. Also, and gratefully they had the foresight to have paved-ways for cyclists only. Denmark is also a happy place with a intensely cultural nature where everything it seems must be artistically rendered. Though her blog accentuates fashion and I am as unfashionable as possible, it still interests me as her photography is good and the blog makes for a nice read of a place and culture foreign to me in everyway, I also wanted to connect others to sites and the thing's that interest me. Thus, below is a site that you may have not heard of that offers statistics and information in the form of visual patterns for a new kind of "social data analysis". It visualizes the "Happiness and Gross Income" of west European countries.

Well, a few day's have passed and finally have a withdraw from a savings account to my "payments" account of several hundred dollars, that once it finds it's way there will be sent straight away to pay down my P2P. There target date was set to the first part of June but, it looks like it may not be till the first part of July that the loan will be done and over with. Monkey's off my back. I only wish I blogged my progression from day one of getting "this type" of loan. Would of been interesting to blog but, I didn't want a lot to do with blogging.

Paying off a P2P loan. Hopefully by the first week of June. If not, it wouldn't be too many week's later and certainly no later then the first part of August. This helped rid my credit report of a lot of debt. I'm fairly debt free at the moment and am looking forward too saving a great deal of money as per my wages go(it's not so great a deal of money). My score didn't improve by grade and once I pay this loan off I'll see how well it improved overall. It should go up if not considerably. Anyhow, I am happy and appreciative of all those that loaned me monies to help give me peace of mind. I think I'll keep it that way. A little at a time is gonna be the way to save and buy something in my future.

Getting some stuff for my bicycle. A nice rear rack and nifty basket from Topeak. I live but only 2 miles from the store and don't see a need for driving there. It will be more then enough to hold all of what I'll buy and I'll be going "green" too! Something that has always been of an importance to me. Now all I need is too change the shifters which may also involve the rear cassette as well. I should maybe find an affordable new or used bike because I only paid $379 or so when it was new and the cost of new shifters and a cassette will be a wee bit much considering its current value. Preferably I'll buy used but, I'll have to find one that fit's me and often that's not the case. My height is such a hindrance. So, I have this inexpensive when new bike, that's in nice shape except for the one gear that I can use and no "gotta have it" feelings towards getting a new one, while repair would cost more then the bike is worth and nearly as much as it was when new. Quite a conundrum.

Update: Went to the store to buy some groceries. During that time my VERY NICE and more impressive then I expected they would be, component's arrived. :) Now to put on the rack and be a happy man. No more weight on my back.

Reading(dreaded) the book's(dreaded) that I bought a while back(dreaded) finally which, will take me some time(dreaded). It is after all reading and my mind likes to wander and I can't hold still. It would be a nice hobby for me. I just have to find the time to be comfortable, relax and concentrate on the book. A decent reading chair and a nice reading lamp that doesn't cause eye strain would be nice. Something to save for. There isn't much on television that I want to see. Just my one show, "Lost"

And uh, quit smoking. Not easy. Used to being here on the computer and smoking. Need other hobbies.

Well, I'm not too much into keeping journal's but, I thought this might be a bit fun. I'm propped up in front of the computer most of the time anyhow so why not? There isn't a lot going on in my life and usually there isn't so I hope not to bore anyone to death . Since, this is all new too me I hope that I can put my thought's here and maybe something a little more will reveal itself to me and I can bring a sense of coherency with my life. If I can read my thought's maybe I can better judge my action's or inaction's. So, here goes nothing.
